hotels

Northern Cyprus offers a wide range of hotels, from basic clean Cypriot style to 5 star luxury. There are small holiday complexes to large family resorts. They all offer differing facilities such as swimming pools, restaurants and on-site shops.

areas

The location of your hotel, holiday complex or resort will define what you can do without the aid of a hire car or public transport. (Activities, recreation, business, sightseeing, shopping etc).

town centre

Whether it is business or pleasure, for those more interested in seeing Kyrenia (Girne in Turkish) there are hotels that are located close to and around the city centre. Most of the hotels are located close to one of the most popular attractions in Kyrenia, the historic harbour. It is here that you can sample the delights of both Turkish Cypriot and international cuisine and watch the world go by.

These hotels can be useful for those visiting Northern Cyprus on business, although nowhere is far away in Northern Cyprus.

One of the most notable hotels in the town centre of Kyrenia is The Dome Hotel. Opened in 1939, this old-established 'colonial hotel has an outdoor seawater pool carved out of the rock, and its own casino.

The hotel with the best views of the old harbour in Kyrenia is The British Hotel. This family owned and run establishment is in a unique location, with most rooms featuring a balcony or terrace with superb views of Kyrenia Castle, the old harbour and Five Finger mountains.

Only five minutes walk from the old harbour is The Rocks Hotel & Casino. Recently extended, The Rocks has elegantly appointed rooms and several excellent restaurants.

beach

These hotels are located right on the beach or very close by, with many having their own private beach. This is the type of hotel where you want to wake up to the lovely Mediterranean sunrise and enjoy a drink watching the spectacular sunsets of Northern Cyprus. If you are a beach person then these are the hotels for you, with the clear azure Mediterranean sea right on your door step. However if you want to visit places of interest or do some shopping then you will obviously need some form of transport.

One of the newest such hotels is The Mercure, located in Kervansaray, just 6 km from Kyrenia town centre. This 5 star hotel has almost 300 bedrooms, and boasts both a Wellness Centre and a casino, as well as a number of conference facilities and top restaurants.

mountain

Mountain hotels and holiday complexes are for those who like to get away from it all and enjoy the spectacular views of the Northern Cyprus coast while set against the backdrop of the stunning Kyrenia Mountain range. You will probably need your own hire car if you stay in this type of hotel as transportation can be a little difficult to these places.

If you don`t mind trekking then walking to catch public transport may be for you. However, please be aware that the summer sun here is very hot and this may not be the best thing to do. These hotels do however provide cooler evenings in the hot North Cyprus summer. Why not enjoy a relaxing sunny day on the beach and then return to your mountain retreat to enjoy the cooling evening breeze.

roadside

If you are looking for that hotel that gives access to public transport then these are for you. These hotels tend to put their public rooms such as reception and restaurants at the front with guest rooms at the rear away from the road. Many people think that these roadside hotels would be noisy but in most cases this is not so. What contributes to this lack of noise is that they are usually situated on a side road just off the main road.

accomodation in general

There is a wide range of accomodation in Northern Cyprus so please feel free to contact one of our Customer Service Team members at fraser & Co on telling us about your needs, and we will do the rest.
